A decent kids film, I enjoyed the performances by Chevy Chase and Farrah Fawcett, with some funny side characters. The child star can get a bit annoying and it is pretty cliche but overall pretty harmless and can be entertaining to kids.

Not a good movie. There were a string of films very similar to this one that all came out around the same time. There are some genuinely cute moments, but all said and told this film was pretty much a failure.

I can't even count how many times I've seen this movie as a kid. Watched it recently when I was older and still found some weird since of childhood nostalgia. I guess everyone else seems to hate it so it becomes a quintessential guilty pleasure for me. I still wish my bedroom is as cool as JTT's in this film. And who wouldn't want Chevy Chase as your step dad? Gotta love the gangsters, they are so nonthreatening and ridiculous.
