I still like to watch this movie every now and again. It's not great by any measure, but it's got charm.

A geek putting together window displays for a department store falls in love with a mannequin and she comes to life. Preposterous bullshit, but it has Kim Cattrall's tits, so it's not a total waste of time. Andrew McCarthy is like Shia La Beouf, he has one of those faces I just want to punch.

If only love were as easy as making out with a mannequin. But it's not. That doesn't mean I have to stop making out with mannequins.

I didn't hate this film. It was ok, just kind of weird. Kim Cattrall has done much better work. Kind of sick to, when you think about it. Of course, where would we be without Starship's, "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now"

One of those "only in the 80's" films with a totally ridiculous concept, and some rather creepy undertones. Usually the nostalgia factor helps, but not this time. Main asset is seeing Cattrall, Spader and McCarthy in their prime.

Goofy...I liked it in high school but I've definitely outgrown it. It's a light comedy but a little too light for me these days.

Kim Cattrall gives me a boner. Interesting concept, I guess. Movie doesn't do anything for me. You know, except the boner.

Once again, one of my favorite 80's movies. It may not be up in my highest rated, but it's a movie I could watch at least twice a day. Even though Andrew McCarthy has a bit of the crazy eye at times.

There were times when this movie was charming and kind of cute. Then there were times when this was very bad, cheesy and very 80's and not in the good way. Was it me, or was anyone else waiting for Proctor(Police Academy fame) to show up.

Very '80s, bad '80s. Spader reminded me of Guinness in The Ladykillers but other than that not allot to entertain.

Gloriously schlocky and camp 80s rom-com. For when you've had Working Girl, The Secret of my Success, and Earth Girls Are Easy, and that itch just still ain't scratched. Kim Cattrall's best role. No idea who the dude was.

Not as bad as I remembered on second viewing, but maybe that's because I knew what I was getting into this time. Much like the sequel, there's an oddball charm to it that's magnified by young James Spader giving way more effort than he needs to & young Kim Cattrall being the heart of the movie, plus Meshach Taylor just having fun. Nothing makes any sense, and the story is loosely explained at best, but if you're just in it for the cheese and the 80's nostalgia it's an alright time.

A bad movie, but with weird chunks of Fun and Enjoyable. Hollywood Montrose is a complete gay stereotype, but outside that (definitely harmful) context, he's a vivacious, energetic, stylish character. The love story involves two people working on passion projects together and actually supporting each other in art. Estelle Getty is amazing as usual, and there's an adorable puppy named Rambo. And these bits and pieces are mixed with really honestly bad bits and pieces. A bad movie, but a fun one.

Poor Kim Cattrall! She tries so hard to breathe some life into this, but, unfortunately, apart from being the stand-out performer, she achieves very little. I don't blame her at all - she does the best she can, but she's fighting against an awful script and terrible actors. She fights bravely, but is ultimately defeated.

Strangely dead and lifeless farce which can't spark even through Bailey's frantic mugging; Taylor's flamboyant, era-inappropriate gay stereotype feels dropped in as a desperate attempt at resuscitation, even as the performance brings the closest thing to a few chuckles. The sort of movie that you wish was a bit worse so that at least you could have fun hate-watching it, but it's a fairly harmlessly bland affair that really needed its batteries charged before leaving the showroom floor.
