I watched the original. I died a little inside. I don't think I'll be getting up in the morning.

The textbook on how NOT to make a film. There's not much to say that hasn't been said by everyone who's seen it via MST3k. Such a painful experience to behold. Any review I do will be redundant, so... Trivia time! Did you know that not one, not two, but THREE of its actors committed suicide in the months and years following its release? That's quality.

An awful movie. BUT a memorable episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

Warren's neorrealist horror film is a essential exposé of the decadence of western civilization in post-fordist America. Above all Torgo stands out as the symbolic embodiement of the primordial lie as post-freudist scholars exposed it: the existential duality of the human condition, being unable to fully comprehend the forces of the universe; like a 20th century Kierkegaard, Warren, as Michael, questions the modern institutions to which WTF THE MASTER IS A PEDOPHILE LOL

Indispensable. Keep your Plan 9 and your Ray Dennis Steckler. There is absolutely no film to compete with Manos for the title of worst ever. Very useful for calibrating the low end of your rating scale. The MST3K is amazing.

A hokey low budget film made by an insurance movie with a camera that could only shoot 32 seconds at a time. Watch the MST3K version for full effect.

Saw the original, sans witty robots. I NEVER fall asleep during a movie. It doesn't matter how terrible or boring it is. I even made it through Blood Freak at 3 AM, jet lagged, in a different time zone. Congratulations Manos. You've done the impossible.

Love the MST3K version, but I can't imagine watching the original all the way through.

Classically horrible. The only thing redeeming is the fact that it is probably the worst film ever conceived. Torgo is amazing, and the fact that the movie makes very little sense is pretty funny. Really, though, it's entertaining, but not on purpose.

Wow this movie was terrible. Everything was awful; the music, acting/voice over, editing etc. I don't know how to rate this though, cause despite it being so bad, it was unintentionally hilarious

The soundtrack is what really sells this movie. More horror movies should incorporate light jazz.

What I learned from this movie: sound travels farther at night. 10 points for Torgo's hilarious "death" scene in which two scantily clad women slap and jostle the poor caretaker for five whole minutes, and then push him off a cement altar...onto the soft desert sand, 2 feet below.

"DO SOMETHING!" What utter shit. And they seriously thought this would be a success? What were they smoking? Still, absolutely hilarious at times.

The dog was the best actor. Oh and Torgo is unintentionally hilarious. Other than that, worst piece of shit ever.

Manos. The sum of all the vile things related to movie making you can think of. The child of a drunk fertilizer salesman boasting he can write a classic movie. Terrible beyond all measure. Only good part is Torgo. You get a real sense of pathos for this character and his theme is a piece of music that will never leave you.

I love this movie, but giving it any rating other then zero would mean that it's better then some other movie, and that just ain't right. Completely inept in every possible way, Manos is pretty much the worst movie of all time. I still think everyone should watch it though. It'll give you a good perspective, and Torgo's a pretty great guy.

It's terrible but, like Zaat, it has a homegrown charm that I like. It's sick in a wonderful, wonderful way.

"Hands" The Hands of Fate. bam.

This is a perfect example of a really bad movie. It has bad everything!

Manos: The Hands of Fate takes the "it's so bad it's good" concept to a whole new level. Even though it is pretty bad, I simply enjoy watching this movie. It is so entertaining and hilarious. I could watch it anytime.

Anyone who seriously thinks this is one of the worst movies ever made hasn't seen what truly exists in the darkest recesses of cinematic hell.

It's terrible, but I still have a soft spot for this and other truly horrible movies. It may be bad enough to repeatedly provoke unintentional laughter, but at least it's drawing some sort of physical response. There's something to be said for that, isn't there?

If Hitler was a movie, he would be this one.

As a stand alone movie--it's cheesy, campy and oozing with personality. Watch the MST3K version and you have a masterpiece.

the worst movie i've ever finished

Like most I was introduced to this punishingly awful film through MST3K. It was one of their classic episodes and there is good reason. This movie is so queerly made in every aspect. Torgo with his odd knees is creepy unlike no other. Quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen.

I don't know if this is the worst - I haven't seen nearly enough movies to give a definitve answer - but it's really, really, REALLY bad. One point for winning a bet (well done Harold) and one for Torgo. Otherwise, if you insist on watching the non-MST3K version of this, at least get some friends round and do it yourself.
