Summary: After fighting the communists in Finland, Max Manus returns to Norway, currently occupied by the Nazis. He joins with the Norwegian resistance movement in their fight against the Germans but is arrested. He manages to escape to England where he receives training before being sent back to Norway to do various sabotage missions against occupational force... (imdb)

Feels like a long trailer (the visuals scream "commercial"). It's about restistance soldier in Norway in WWII, but it's just bullshit, never interested in problematizing the "heroic acts" and only concerned in seducing the viewer.

Unfortunately, the very poor research on how to wear British gas mask bags raises doubts on the accuracy of all other aspects of this film. A quick look on the internet would have shown them how its done.

A solid wartime drama with some decent action scenes. Aksel Hennie proved very convincing in the title role. More succesful at presenting the occupated world of the resistance fighters than the similar, Danish 'Flammen & Citronen'.
