Summary: Naren (Mohanlal), a hotshot architect, woos Nandha (Revathy) & they get engaged. Later, when Naren dies in a tragic accident, Nandha accompanies his body to his hometown of Pattambi where she is shocked to meet Naren's identical twin Unni (Mohanlal). Having never known about Naren having a twin, Nandha tries to come to terms with it & also finds solace in Unni. Unni's parents plan to get Nandha married to Unni, not knowing that Unni is in love with the maid girl of the house, Bhadhra (Shobana).
