Summary: The new Chemistry lecturer in college, Nandakumar Varma (Mammootty), finds it tough to discourage student Sruthi (Annie) who has taken a fancy to him, even after introducing Sruthi to his disabled girlfriend Uma (Shobana), whom Nandakumar had been nursing back to health & for whom he had been remaining a bachelor. Upset over the prospect of losing Nandakumar, Sruthi rebukes Uma, causing her to have a stroke, which worsens her situation. A fully bedridden Uma now asks Nandakumar to marry Sruthi. (by iceblox)
