Hated it. Pretentious and boring.

Derivative of Solondz' "Happiness", this indie has a bunch of parallel plot-lines all slight, underdeveloped and mismatched. We have the filmmaker playing in the main romance what inadvertently comes off as a very creepy female stalker. We have a schmaltzy and insubstantial elderly relationship. Most of the rest is child sexuality, including - most irksomely - a preteen boy with scatological interests. It's all set to new-age music and has that blunt, gratuitous symbolism that indie movies do.

Uneven, narratively incomplete, with some weak storylines, and performances that often feel overly improv. Enjoyable but insubstantial.

Self-indulgent, condescending hokum that sacrifices authentic character development for nauseating "message" moments better suited for Hallmark cards. The best part is one line, improbably intended to be both humorous and poignant, that sums up how the character interaction in this film really comes across: Poop. Back and Forth. Forever.

Miranda July's film is about how you cannot force love (or art); it is an alignment of circumstance and sensibility. It's engaging in some places, but too cutesy-quirky for my tastes.

Like a poor man's weirder slower less interesting american beauty. I could see some people liking this but I found it kind of boring.

Abominable.

Back and forth. Forever. That little kid stole the show. This is a pretty good movie. If you like offbeat movies, give this one a look.

Irresistibly cute and at times uproariously funny. Covers some important coming of age ground through an innocent lens.
