A wonderfully directed, superior version of "The Longest Yard", set in Britain against the backdrop of real football. There are hilarious scenes one after the other and a number of terrific, memorable characters, such as the fearsome "Monk" played by Jason Statham. Vinnie Jones is also very impressive as the lead in his first major role. Remember that a comedy doesn't necessarily have to be original; just executed damn well, which this is. Great film.
