I'd have no problem with this if it was actually funny. But it's not. I can't work out why they call this a comedy.

an underpraised late 70's comedy and for that matter it's mostly forgotten amidst the other comedies in murray's repertoire. it's never utterly hilarious, but it is entertaining and a fairly warm and candid variation of the summer camp movie.

Growing up on late 70's SNL, I always associate this film with the disillusioning suckage that that awesome troupe (along with their filmmakers) began doling out on the big screen. Of course Murray went on to flourish in an interesting if idiosyncratic career (with more "legitimacy" than Murphy or Myers, I'd argue), but manoman the others, at the beginning, doing "Doctor Detroit"? "Oh Heavenly Dog"? "Neighbours"? "Foul Play"? "Ghostbastards"? CHEVY SUCKS! (especially in the EL-CRAPO "Community")
