Summary: 22 year old Omanakuttan (Dileep), who was still a schoolboy & who didn't take life seriously, had to marry his friend Sudhi's (Krishna Prasad) sister Malathi (Sulekha), when her arranged wedding breaks off. When Malathi gets pregnant, Nambeeshan (Thilakan), Omanakuttan's father, who was providing for Omanakuttan & his wife gets upset over it, causing Omanakuttan to quarrel & leave home.
