Much like with his Berlin Symphony, Ruttman mixes together various images of daily life to a musical accompaniment that paces the film. Rather than focus on a city this is an international affair, with the editing highlighting similarities between people and cultures. While it lacked a bit of oomph it was still pretty marvelous.
