Disappointing for an academy award winner. The story was great until it turned into a commercial for euthenasia. I hate it when Hollywood tries to cram morals down our throat.

While the story appears to be simple, to cheesy while aiming directly at emotions, it is exquisitely well told; and Clint shows once again that he rues the world.

Morgan Freeman is the saving grace of this movie. Not that I think the other characters were bad. I think the direction is where the movie falls short. I knw I'll get bashed for saying that. But Eastwood milks the end way too long for my liking. When Swank's character can't get any lower he twists the knife and takes it even further.

Clint is a great director. This is a pretty, lovely, sad masterpiece. Swank simply shines. Freeman is one of the best in all times and here finally he wins his first (!) Academy Award, his perfomance is brilhant. Clint in one of his best acting jobs. A really great movie.

A sad and beautiful film. Swank is great and Eastwood is at a career best here. The third act caught me off guard, the advertisers did a fantastic job at concealing the events of the third act. Great film

Great performances from Eastwood and Swank. Tough end to the movie but a bit of hill billy bashing is always good. Liked it.
