Terrific central performance by Troy Gerrity, son of Jane Fonda, who helped to get this movie financed. This is one of those labors of love that fly under the radar because distributors don't think anyone will go see it. Audiences at the Toronto Film Fest quite liked this story about a strange guy (the movie was muddy about what was wrong with him...was he autistic?) with a passion for fishing whose mother dies and leaves him prey to opportunists. He insists on enrolling in a fishing contest.
