I'll give it points for trying but Arithaniel's review is pretty much spot-on.

Promises a lot more at the start than it eventually delivers. There's a few neat moments here and there but the second half gradually sinks into silliness.

If Bruce Campbell instantly doesn't make a film interesting, stop watching.

starts off a decent premise and just lets it kind of sit there, it's all underdeveloped. this accentuates the mediocre, or worse, acting, and overall neglected writing. the whole virtual reality aspect is thrown down the toilet and flushed...repeatedly. it had a promising first bit, but once they get underground you can basically turn it off.

Really did want to like this, the first half of the movie, but the second half was just bull.

Not bad, but not too thrilling, either. Neither Campbell nor Scrimm are used to great effect, here
