Well executed thriller with a great ending! Love the fact they took something which should usually give you more confidence (a mirror) and turned that 'against you', into fear.

Some great ideas , solid horror and great pacing, Add some decent acting and Amy smart to that combo, and you've got a very entertaining movie!

Otherwise good, suspenseful horror mystery just had to be ruined by a stupid, nonsensical twist at the end. Too bad.

Any movie that spawns the phrase "nun shrapnel" can't be all bad...

This movie is not very good. But it packs enough gore in and has decent enough acting to be watchable. The whole supernatural element doesn't make any sense, and much less when you think about an hour after you're finished with it.

It's so much worse when taking the movie it's based upon into consideration.

An impressive Horror/Thriller about what goes on behind the 'mirrors'. Kiefer Sutherland is perfect as the film's lead and brings exactly what the film needs for the role. Its very slow to begin with but doesn't take long for the story to unfold and soon you're right into it. The death scenes are great, and one in particular will surely stay with you long after the film is over. Overall it's an impressive take on the genre and while it might not bring anything new, its definitley a joy to watch.

Aja is one of my fave directors...this movie was such a letdown, not that its a horrible movie..but that he played it so safe...there are so many missed opportunities in this movie..the actors were ok..the scares were few and far between..

Jack Bauer in a horror movie. It was delightfully gory and somewhat creepy. I was entertained, but not impressed.

Mirrors is a mess that's almost saved by a twist at the end, although in retrospect, it would have been better to include that twist earlier so we could view things from a different perspective for most of the time it's playing. Instead, we get too much exposition, a great deal of time spent not being scared, but confused, as well as one interesting death scene. But it's not worth your time, and it's just another unnecessary remake of an Asian horror film.

The plot doesn't quite make sense (it's more of a fever dream than an A-to-B narrative), the acting is subpar at best and the CGI gets dodgy at times, but Mirrors does employ some great imagery and fully explores the promise of its premise; if there's a horror trope involving mirrors, it's featured therein.

Comedic genius.

The scene where Jack Bauer thinks he's on fire even though he really isn't was one of the funniest movie moments I have ever witnessed

so im a pretty huge fan of aja, every movie besides this one that he has made is at the top of my list. Thats not to say this movie was bad i just think if he hadnt directed it then it probably would have sucked. Also im not a huge fan of sutherland but he didnt ruin this movie to much. I found there were a lot of confusing parts to this movie but if you just blame it on demons then it all makes sense. I also found it pretty cool how many ways you can make mirrors scary creepy.

Alas, another victim of the Americanizing of a beloved J-Horror, although "Mirrors" is probably at the top of the schlock heap (OH MY GOD THAT BATH SCENE WAS SO GOOD).
