Summary: Sethumadhavan (Mohanlal), a struggling middle-class man, tries to start a biscuit factory - 'Dakshayani Biscuits', with his hopes constantly thwarted by corrupt government officials demanding bribes to approve his papers. Having a huge joint family to support, he doesn't confide about his troubles to anyone, including his wife Sulochana (Urvashi), who constantly accuses him of not giving her enough attention.
