Summary: Molière has been released from prison by wealthy bourgeois, Monsieur Jourdain, who settled the young actor's debts on the understanding that he will teach him the craft of the stage. Hungry for recognition, Jourdain is infatuated with the lovely but poisonous Climene, whose salon gathers together suitors and great wits. Trapped in this untenable situation, Molière will experience all manner of events that will open his eyes and his mind, both to life itself and to his work as an artist. (Sony Pictures Classics)

A truly wonderful film. Cinematography is great but what makes it is the wonderful way Moliere's real play Tartuffe is incorporated into the movie. One of my faves. I highly recommend it!

Not normally my type of film. However, I did enjoy this one. A good story, and the morale - when it comes to matters of creative works, one can only speak from what they know, what they've experienced. Oh, and Romain Duris reminds me of Russell Brand, especially during the horse scene!
