An unfunny mess of a comedy; not a laugh to be found. The director is French, so of course there's some occasional stylistic flair to the film, but the script is complete dogshit. Its periodness is so lame and surface-level that I'm not sure whoever wrote the film actually knew anything about the 60s that they didn't get from mainstream popular culture. When your film is playing Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" while wander through a drug-addled orgy mansion, it's time to throw

Great concept, poor execution. The characters of Moonwalkers are great actors playing unrelatable people, and its script is just unfunny enough to make it hard to classify this as a comedy. That being said there is some cool B-movie direction going on here and the actors do really have chemistry. It could be a lot worse but Moonwalkers is probably the biggest failed potential I've ever seen.

Such a crazy idea, yet they manage to make this hilarious scenario unfunny. The trip simply doesn't get off the ground regardless of a colorful cast.

The concept and its culmination are more hilarious than its execution, which is overly crass and, excepting its menfolk (as is unfortunately typical), sexualized. A little slow, a little dull, and very, pointlessly, vulgar.

Not really a comedy, more like a caper movie and not necessarily a good one.

The acting is alright, but the plot seems to meander for its entire 96 minute runtime making Moonwalkers feel much longer than it ought to. Muted colour tones, a severe lack of humour for a comedy, and tepid action sequences padded with violence don't help the film out. Wasted potential.

Decided to watch it on the premise alone. Big mistake, it is really awful. Stay clear.

For such an intriguing concept, the execution is sorely lacking. It's light fun for sure, deriving almost all of its appeal from Perlman's likability as an actor, but the script is just dreadful - the humour frequently falls flat, the characters are hollow and, most glaringly, it fails to capture any of the nuances of 1960s culture.

The idea deserves better. In the right hands, this could have made for a quite clever conspiracy comedy. As it is, it's much more like Year One than Capricorn One.
