Summary: Farmer Vincent kidnaps unsuspecting travellers and is burying them in his garden. Unfortunately for his victims, they are not dead. He feeds his victims to prepare them for his roadside stand. His motto is: It takes all kinds of critters...to make Farmer Vincents fritters. The movie is gory, but is also a parody of slasher movies like Last House on the Left. (imdb)

Why yes, it is possible to toss in some comedy into a trashy horror film and make it a little more disturbing. When done right, such a tactic makes the demented atrocities seem all the more appalling, when the film is not simply trying to scare or sicken you, but to make you laugh.

Good enough to warrant a place in my DVD collection should I find it, but it will tucked be behind a more respectable DVD, of course, so people don't get the wrong idea about me. A guy with a chainsaw wearing a mask made out of a dead hog's head? You have to give the filmmakers credit. They're really trying to make you remember here.

Worth a watch or two, even if only for the chainsaw fight at the end. By the way, the villain wears a pig's head during the chainsaw fight. Yeah, definitely worth a watch.

Rory Calhoun plays the loopy owner of a rural motel and purveyor of smoked meats (a suspicious combination if I've ever heard one) who captures his guests to use as grist for his grinder, after he plants them in the ground for a while to tenderize. A wacky and gory flick with hillbilly cannibals, a zombie garden, dueling chainsaws and more "meat smoking" double entendres than you can shake a stick at. Novelty cameo from Wolfman Jack as a TV preacher.

Overlong and extremely unfunny "horror comedy". I had to watch this over three different evenings, it was so fucking boring. In fact, it may just qualify as one of the most boring movies I've ever seen.
