Summary: Mancuso and Basinger fly from Vancouver into a very wild and isolated area of British Columbia along the Stikine River in the Cassiars, which was the last known location of his co-worker/her husband. Mancuso suspects he was using company resources for something other than company business. They become involved with a recluse miner (Heston) who becomes increasingly sinister as they snoop around the area for the missing man--and gold. (Stewball)

This is one of the most obscure movies with a notable cast I know of, and it deserves much better. It has one of Heston's better, less pretentious roles, was right at the start of Basinger's career, and John Marley's Elijah is very memorable. It starts with some incredibly beautiful flying sequences staged in British Columbia, which ends in a spectacular unscripted actual plane crash. This is another link in the lore of the lure for Gold--a resurgent siren of late.
