Hysterical, but it gets a little boring when we see less clips and more people talking. Still, Don Rickles is one funny man.

Pretty bland. The film doesn't really present any interesting information or details about Rickles and his comedy. I gotta believe there are better moments that the film could have shown as well.

"Confirms that Rickles's enduring popularity as the high priest of putdowns can be chalked up to an admirable national trait to not take ourselves too seriously." - Nick Schager

Wow, I want to see Rickles in person. An under-appreciated ode to an under-appreciated entertainer.

I'm not sure if I feel right calling some parts of this a documentary, as it's kind of obviously staged. It's the man himself that makes this as entertaining as it is, and really for the same amount of time I could've just watched a comedy special of his or something. The interviews and celebrities offer little to no interesting insight. Except Larry Dickman. The Carson stuff was great, though.

the first half is good, as there is a lot of good new and old footage of Rickles, but then it turns into a bit too many yakking celebrities without insightful commentary. Still...'chopped liver keeps your stomach turning for days. People came in my room and thought it was a harbor for ships.'
