A bit of a letdown. Sen has churned out an Indian version of Crash, with really simplistic messages being inelegantly shoved down your throat. Her daughter, Konkona Sen Sharma, does a good job, as does her co-lead, Rahul Bose. Their characters are people you care about, though rather lacking in depth. The cinematography is beautiful, and so is the music... but again, too often the music is telling us how to feel. Sen's intentions are admirable, but the execution needs work.
