A pretty insignificant and unremarkable film not just amongst Hitchcock's oeuvre, but just in general. It's a pretty forgettable plot that really doesn't go very far, with lame acting and a horribly campy upbeat flute theme, making it a chore at just an hour and a half. I laughed out loud once.

Hitchcock having a go at Screwball Comedy!!! I found myself laughing out loud. If you have any phobia of this kind of stuff, keep away. If you think that most great comedies were made before the 50's, watch this.

You really have to forget that Hitchcock had anything to do with it, there's nothing in it to satisfy the average Hitch fan. It's a perfectly passable little comedy, if not exactly a classic of the screwball genre. Lombard and Montgomery are terrific, but occasionally the editing choices mess up the timing.
