Wonderful, poignant reflection on gender identity, loss and regret fired by superb performances all round, especially luminous Redgrave and McElhone (as the older and younger Mrs Dalloway) and Graves, in an initially unrelated tangent, as a shell-shocked war veteran. Certainly takes it time in telling its story, and requires a certain patience from the viewer, but provides a rich, moving payoff.
