Cornball stuff that is essentially a rehash of the much superior Tootsie in a lot of ways. Robin Williams is a good actor though and he manages to carry this far enough that it's not totally stupid. The "father will do anything to get his estranged kids back" angle was played out even for the early 90's though. It's still filled with insipid dialog and not nearly clever enough to be called good.

I have a lot of respect for Mrs Doubtfire, mainly because of the mature way it handles the divorce that makes up the plot and how it follows it through to a natural, thoughtful conclusion without copping out as so many lesser movies would. Plus, this is probably Robin Williams' best comedic performance.
