Not a totally unsalvageable movie-watching experience, but enough low points that you can't really ignore that you might be wasting your time. The acting is not even so-so, the effects are obviously amateur, but the concept is somewhat novel...so, there's that.

Mutant rodents bite people and turn them into hideous rat-deformities. If you were put off by the premise, don't worry. Mulberry Street is a fresh take on the zombie invading city in distress concept, with many pros and cons to also be included. Rat-a-tastic.

Who needs character development, a real plot, good sound and visuals when you have rat like zombies?

B movie done really well. Has all the makings of great movie, but everything is all-around just not as good as it could be. The drama is layered on too thick and over-indulged, the acting is a bit sub-par, the directing and editing could use some tightening, but it's got style and some interesting ideas, shots, and sequences. A very organic take on New York City. A fun twist on the Zombie genre.

I thought the beginning was the strongest element of this movie, but the actual part with all the horror simply did not work very well. An easily forgettable, below mediocre movie.

Actually not bad for an AfterDark movie. I think the director did a great job working with what little he had, but I think the story never quite reached its full potential. A lot of political metaphors and character back stories are never resolved or explored. Plus, it fell into the "characters doing stupid things simply to advance the thin plot" thing.

Okay Movie

Not one single redeeming quality. Cinematography was the shits. Sound editing was atrocious, the soundtrack was intrusive and random. A handful of stupid, poorly written characters doing stupid things to the point where you just don't care anymore. The only "Style" this film has is green and green's not a style. I appreciate and normally enjoy low-budget horror films, but these Afterdark films are just terrible.

An interesting take on the traditional zombie flick that ultimately fell flat because of a badly written script and poor acting.

Bad. Rats start attacking people who turn into rat-zombies and kill more people. This film has bad makeup, bad acting, bad story, bad direction and that's about it. Avoid.

another movie that gets so much love and praise and i dont get it....this is horrible..its boring, its just so one note...the after dark people, fangoria and rue morgue and every horror podcast..your wrong this movie is not the best of the series...its horrible
