By-the-numbers psychological thriller. Some truly awful acting performances (Smits, I'm looking in your direction), a confusing non-linear storyline, overwrought visuals in the flashback sequences... but at the same time the whole mid-nineties cheesiness makes it kind of enjoyable. Mary-Louise Parker also makes it watchable - she's like a budget version of Sandra Bullock, and she has great legs. The ending is hilariously bad.
