The shorts of the French New Wave movement engage and excel because they ooze a kind of educated cool that render their thematic grappling increasingly palatable to explorative viewers, though Eric Rohmer's contributions seem to want for the cool effect. Among a crowd that also features Jean-Luc Godard and Francois Truffaut, scholars recognise him a classicist; but that's no excuse for Nadja in Paris's lack of intrigue. Long before Rohmer's faintly admirable diversion, Griffith taught us so.

I think this is just lovely.

A brief but enjoyable presentation of Paris through the eyes and words of Nadja Tesich.

Nothing more than a travelogue/love letter to Paris, although Rohmer does make it look very enticing.
