Dumb, shallow und boring for the most part. Fortunately, Sofia Vergara, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro, Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele made up for that.
The rest, though, consists of those cliché reveals, which almost destroyed the (few) actual performance-induced moments leading up to them, Abigail Breslin's performance and make-up, Hilary Swank's apparent lack of charisma, and the generic soundtrack.
Oh, and I'm also thinking....Toshiba.
Bottom line: Leah Michele can fuckin' sing.

Good actors, movie was made to grab some money from people who love to see all famous actors in one place. Well I'm not talking about the plot. Of course it's entertaining to see happy people, it's New Year's but nothing more. Just the feeling that you will be celebrating yourself soon. Can't recommend it but if you have nothing better to do in home, give this movie a chance. Cheers~

OK, I didn't think this was unwatchable or anything like that. But it DID assemble a cast of over 20 stars for no discernible purpose apart from "assembling a cast of over 20 stars". There are a couple things that work, but for every plot that works there are five or six that don't, and it starts to get extraordinarily bogged down after awhile.

This score really surprises me. On the plus side the acting was pretty decent from most people (a few were fucking stupid, but there were so many characters they were somewhat drowned out). Due to so many characters there were many plot lines which lead to short scenes. I don't know if any were longer than a minute. This made the shallow stories palatable and scattered enough that they couldn't ruin them. Watchable, but I would definitely recommend skipping.

I didn't have any idea what to expect from this movie and I wasn't disappointed. It is a nice romantic comedy, and although it is definitely above average in its genre, it isn't more than that. It has all it needs for this genre, both comic and eye watering moments and a moral undertone as well. A nice feel good movie.

Giving this a 0 for one reason: The one plot I cared about was fumbled to a degree I didn't think possible, and it pissed me the hell off. Every plotline I gave zero shits about was dramatically resolved, but Abigail Breslin was left hanging in a pool of half-assed anti-climax. Screw you, Gary Marshall. You put tears in my eyes a few times, but I'm giving you no love, because you emotionally ripped me off. Admittedly not terrible, but those are some fake pregnant bellies. And SJP, miscast again!

Heard that this was the worst movie of the year and was sadly disappointed to find that, while still being awful, it isn't the worst thing I've seen this year. It's just nothing new, boring actors, predictable scenarios, lazy everything. De Niro must have so many illegitimate children or a huge drug problem to keep doing garbage year in and year out.

A desperately shite attempt to re-make "Love Actually" without any humor, just some cheap emotional string pulling. For example. could anyone honestly really give a shit about the two pregnant couples?
