Too long by a half hour at least and plagued by obtrusive zooms and pans. At first, I was enchanted by this portrait of capricious desperation in the face of obsolescing masculinity, but the film's zealous pummeling of that one note is akin to watching someone play an intellectual game of whack-a-mole for two and a half hours. Finally ends up being a literalization of the axiom "The grass is always greener on the other side" -- really necessary?
