This is often described as a zombie film, but in truth it's closer to something like 28 Days Later - ie., the menace comes in the form of infected, but still living, people. In any event, it's all a bit ridiculous, as one would expect from Lenzi, but it moves at a good clip and has a certain charm.

This is yet another lousy fill-in-the-blanks Spanish-Italian zombie epic in which, once again, we're reminded that "Ya gotta shoot them in the head!" Somebody get me a gun! Loads of cut-rate gore and Ferrer strictly along for the ride. Funniest scene: the zombies attacking an "American Bandstand"-style TV dance show.

How the hell do you rate something like this? It's easily the dumbest thing I've ever laid eyes on, but therein lies the genius of it. And make no mistake- epic, prime cut, grade-A stupidity like this needs to appreciated like the very finest of wines. It's the kind of dumb that can make you puke blood, but it's totally worth it.

No fillers and unnecessarily long dialouges here - just non-stop attacks by boobie-loving mutants, shootings and gore. Ending is dissapointing, but overally it's a great genre flick.

I hoped on another viewing, a little older, I would be amused by this, but it's become a tedious film as well as a bad one. Only one tone exists as I was barraged by images of super zombies killing people and than even more people after that again and again, an apocalyptic scenario that eventually collapses into repetitive schlock. The tiring, serious ponderings of the main character's wife later on when it fails to succeed to be a good exploitation film don't help win it any favours either.

Great. Watch this before Rodriguez's "Planet Terror". Its zombies are quite similiar to Snyder's Dawn of the Dead (they are fast)

weird as all hell, but I can't get enough of zombies, no matter how bad the movie, so I'm recommending y'all check this one out.

Lots of great 80's, Italian zombie action... but lots of cheese make it hard to totally love.
