Great Danish chiller. A bit heavy handed in places, but more or less responsible for the "renaissance" in modern danish cinema so it get props for that.

Has some scary moments, better than most western "scary movies"(can't say horros, because it really isn't).

Picked this up after hearing that it was one of the best foreign thrillers of the 90s, which is...wrong. "Nightwatch" is pretty engaging up until the first half, at which point nothing has happened. When the twist finally came around, I was long past caring. The actors all do a good job and are entertaining for the most part. Worth a watch, just don't expect to be enthralled.

Tense and psycological without ever "crossing the line" and becoming to much like most psycological horror movies do after an hour or so. The acting is pretty good but the story and how it evolves it what is truely making this movie such a classic.

Stylish and eerie thriller with a great McGregor, Nolte and Arquette.
