from beginning to end i was thinking what was jodie foster doing in this movie ?! i hate gerard butler who is one of the worst actor i've ever seen abigail was just okey for the role litle miss snshine she's not any special or talented.

Mostly good, Breslin can carry a film quite well, but no one believes Gerard Butler would fall in love with Jodie Foster, who is better than this role.

had fun watching & wish I could find one of my own to get away from the polluted & Corrupt U.S. I'll take getting shippments of food etc no prob. The only prob is building the 'house'

not anything special, but it was exactly the kind of movie i would take my kids too if i were a parent, not to mention i would have taken them for my own interests.

Weak but not a hard one to watch, don't know.

dont like the "world's greatest adventurer" part and the kids father, Jodie Fosters author character wasnt brilliant either and the girl aint a natural talent either, but the story would have potential (Blue Lagoon anyone?)

An exotic story of a girl and her father living on a remote island. Jodie Foster is an author who serves the slap stick of the story. For youngsters only.

Shallow ... Jodie Foster's novelist character was incredibly flat, Butler's novel hero exaggerated, and the whole plot rather stereotyped and predictable. The kid's might enjoy it.

For a kids movie this was not only different, but wasn't afraid to its own story. Movies with so few characters can struggle at times, as this one did, but I think its a hidden gem. It has a good message, but its not pushed down ur throat. Good movie for kids.
