Summary: Sreekuttan (Mohanlal), a poor & orphaned simpleton, takes a fancy towards a blind flower girl, Shalini (Priya). In trying to organize money for her eye surgery, Sreekuttan gets blamed for attempted robbery & gets jailed. With the money he gives, Shalini's gains eyesight & with the help of a new friend, Dr. Ramakrishna Pillai (Mukesh), Shalini becomes a famous playback singer. Upon his release, Sreekuttan tries to meet Shalini, but faces opposition in the form of Shalini's brother Achu (Johny). (by iceblox)
