Summary: Mohanakrishnan, a Brahmin carpenter & son of a famous father, C. K. Nampoothiri, who had committed suicide, gets sent to Rama Varma Thampuran (Gopi) for a job & to learn music. He gets appointed as the junior priest of Rama Varma's family temple, & falls in love with Satyabhama (Bhama), a struggling school girl whose cousin Surendran had his roving eye on her. In a sticky situation, they had to elope, but Surendran doesn't let go & kidnaps Mohanakrishnan's sister & demands Satyabhama in return. (by iceblox)
