Summary: Ramankutty (Jayaram), known for his spotless character in the village of Kuttanallur, gets disgraced & ostracized when he had to take on the blame for frequenting a known prostitute of the village, Dakshayani (Nirosha), to save his uncle Madhavan's (Jagathi Sreekumar) face. Madhavan, who had promised to clear Ramankutty's name in front of his daughter & Ramankutty's fiancé Sangeetha (Gayatri Jayaraman), goes back on his word, leaving Ramankutty on his own to clear his name.
