Tragedy and comedy are mixed perfectly in this one. My expectations were high but it didn't let me down; I am surprised that Hollywood hasn't remade it yet.
This is a truly masterful film. A mute hitman trying to save for tongue surgery accidentaly starts a family and simultaneously becomes entangled in a growing web of conflict against hardened mob bosses. The supporting characters are excellent in this film, the fight scenes artistically engaging and the plot twisting and entertaining. Korean cinema has been some of the finest over the past few years thanks to anonymous gems like this one. A near perfect combination of comedy and tragedy.
There are scenes that doesn't manage the desired emotional impact, infact few are laughable, some of the music is misplaced too. But as a whole it keeps interesting right till the end.
