Summary: This drama follows a young boy and a young girl as they plan to launch a music group shortly after being released from prison. Both characters travel to Tehran where they meet other underground rock musicians and attempt to convince them to leave Iran. Turns out, I don't like Iranian rock all that much, particularly when its trying so hard to sound Western. The wisp of a plot in this collection of music videos was not worth paying attention to, but I did like the montages of life in Tehran.

A story about two people trying to get a band started becomes so much more with every glimpse into Iranian culture and how it limits/endangers the underground music scene. Very insightful, gripping, touching and the music was fantastic.

In parts lighter in tone than some of Ghobadi's other work but maintains impact all the same. The film works well because of its clear love for the city of Tehran and the music produced from within it.

The music video segments are great, but it was difficult to connect to the actual story being told, mostly due to a missed connection with the actors. The ending was not without impact, however.

This movie has won over my mind and heart. It's ficitonal nature is close knitted with the reality contained within. It's simply brimming with life. The copy I got has a minute interview with Ghobadi that he tells why he chose to distribute the movie over internet freely. A bit too late I'll make sure to go back into Ghobadi's past work.
