This movie has one or two twists too many. Alan Rickman and Mary Steenburgen are very good in their roles but the script lets them down. Another rewrite of the script might have fixed this movie.

Maybe the theatrical cut changed from the premier at TriBeCa, and I hope it did, but the version I saw was all over the place, didn't use any of the actors to their potential, and didn't make a lot of sense-there were too many different things going on at once, and it way too hard to keep track of everything.

Good. This is a unique and refreshing take on the old payback/getting-even theme. A Nobel laureate's promiscuity and scandalous past come full circle when his son is kidnapped, setting into motion a treacherous and devious game of cat and mouse. Its hard to elaborate on the plot here without giving away any spoilers, but suffice it to say its a pleasently surprising fun watch and remains fluid throughout its 105 min runtime. Definitely worth a rental.
