If you liked Machete... You'll like this one. I didnt, so I don't... But the title is amazing, and the dialogue is f-ing awesome at some points!

A nun takes down a gang of dope pushing bikers and evil priests. Unlike a lot of neo-grindhouse flicks, this movie does not skimp at all on the gratuitous nudity, featuring several fully nude nuns working in a dope factory during the opening credits, plus plenty of raunchy lesbian action throughout. In addition to wallowing in filth, it also achieves a heavy dramatic mood in parts...classical guitar scoring montages of somber reflections and religious iconography, like a Mexican soap opera.

That movie could be a good one if it did not steal so insolently from Tarantino and Rodriquez. The "mariachi", vigilante was a Sapphic nun. Acting and the story were not on the level of output either, though you've got what they promised.

Shocksploitation that just isn't good enough to be ironic. There's enough slow, pointless, awkwardly acted scenes to cancel out anything good in here. It's like someone copied all the trappings of exploitation pulp but didn't know how to write in the moments of genuine humanity, of sincere emotion, of connection, that balance out all the horrendous stuff we witness. Without that it's just a ghastly work of sadism - something that teenagers would come up with. I couldn't finish it.

Going from just the title, you can probably guess this is an exploitation-esque film. The key to this kind of film is fun and that's where the film falls down. It's like it fell through a wormhole from another dimension where Rodriquez never got famous and just made this kind of schlock. It feels slow, at times pointlessly nasty and the ending is wither sequel bait or they ran out of ideas. There's no spark in the script to indicate there was a bigger movie constrained by budget. Poor.

If Tarantino was a useless hack then this is probably the sort of film he would make. Guzman has clearly seen exploitation flicks has thought to himself "yeah, I could probably immitate that badly... I'll give it go" and that is exactly what this movie feels like. That said there is nudity, there are nuns and at points their guns are at the very least sizable, so some marks there! Perhaps we should all view this film as sociological commentry on Catholicism? Hmmm... maybe not....

More tits than minutes in the movie. The worst part? The tits weren't even that great.

It worries me that I find this boring, there's only so much blood and boobs you can see before it starts to get tiresome though. Elderly nun rape was pretty nasty though.
