Summary : A Kansas City waitress (Renee Zellweger) with dreams of becoming a nurse becomes delusional after seeing her no-good car salesman husband (Aaron Eckhart) murdered. Becoming delusional from shock, she becomes convinced that she is the former fiancee of her soap opera idol (Greg Kinnear). What she also believes is that the soap opera is real and goes to LA to find the hospital where he works as a cardiologist... (imdb)

It has a painfully stupid beginning whose only purpose was to provide a half-assed reason for a road trip pursuit and further scenes in Hollywood at the end. Chris Rock is purely annoying, and most scenes in the middle portion fail to either be entertaining or enlightening in any manner. That being said, there are a handful of good, funny scenes here, Freeman's character has a cool final scene, and the pay-off with the Hollywood soap actor was decent. So it's only mediocre, not quite bad.
