Summary: A high-class call girl (Streisand) kills a customer in self-defense. To avoid scandal, her parents try to have her declared mentally incompetent. Not helping matters is that she is very distrustful of everybody, including her court-appointed attorney (Dreyfuss), and is very disruptive during her court hearings. (imdb)

A strangely engaging film with a typically powerful performance from Streisand. Unpromising material for a film you may think but you would be wrong. A little slow in parts but with equal measure of drama and some wonderfully comic moments this is certainly worth watching.
