Summary: Jong-du, a young man just out of prison for manslaughter, is a social misfit: fidgety, snuffling, laughing inappropriately, without a super ego. When released, he calls on the family of the victim; they send him away, but not before he has seen Gong-ju, a young woman disabled severely by cerebral palsy. Both are abused by their families, and both are used by them as well. Although their relationship begins with Jong-du's criminal behavior, a friendship develops. (imdb)

A delicate subject; yet the director deals with it very good. But my problem lies with the ending and the occurrences prior to the same. It is obvious that it comes from my frustration with it, and my inability of not getting emotionaly connected with characters. still, to this date, i think therein lies the bigest problem of viewers. Objectivity, Subjectivity... still, I am man, and I can not help myself. hahahaha, actually I wouldn´t have it any other way. Take it or leave it.

A good and tragic story, made difficult to watch because of how real and human it is.

Great acting, but overlong and the ending is a kick in the stomach. Chang dong Lee is very talented but I'm disturbed by the streak of sadism that seems to run through his work.

Great acting done by by So-ri Moon depicting an individual with cerebral palsy. A touching and deep film with an unusual love story.

A pretty unnerving film to watch, as in real life, people tend react to the mentally disabled and rather look elsewhere. Great acting, and magical scenes.

The real problem here is that I didn't buy that these two people were in love. We're supposed to be so touched by such an unlikely romance (and so smugly impressed with our own willingness to accept it) that we forget that we haven't had the proper foundation for it. Despite my qualms about all this (and I haven't even touched on the contrived ending, or So-ri Moon's dubious performance), I have to admit it's provocative in a way that's much less obnoxious than provocative films usually are.

The portrayal of cerebral palsy Gong-Ju by So-ri Moon is just amazing. Truly brilliant acting. Its really an unnerving film which does show the plight of what a mentally/physically handicapped person can face. This movie is truly moving film.

The best love story and the best story dealing with mentally challenged people that i have seen to this day. Yes, two of the most difficult things to pull right in one movie. This could have failed in so many ways, and yet it doesn't.
