Summary: McGriff and Albaby are probably doing the worst law enforcement job in the world - they are plain clothes U.S. military policemen on duty in war-time Saigon. However, their job becomes even harder when they start investigating the serial killings of local prostitutes. Their prime suspect is high ranking U.S. Army officer which brings their lives in danger. (imdb)

Although the ending veers off into eye-rolling territory, there's a lot to recommend here. It's a hard-R cop movie set in wartime Saigon, and it's pretty raw and violent. Dafoe and Hines make an appealingly different team from what you normally see in the buddy cop genre. The setting sets this apart from a lot of cop movies too. The soundtrack is terrific. It won't change the world or your mind, but it's very entertaining and refreshingly different from a lot of cop movies.
