Some insane stunts, even some elaborate effects. Pretty funny for a 90 year old short and Keaton has this inexplicable charm.

Brilliant short, and an absolute classic. All these years and it's still hilarious.

One of Buster Keaton's better shorts, although still quite boring by modern standards. It is also strange that the villain Handy Hank is promptly forgotten about during the last third of the film. The lack of chase scenes hurts it, although the crazy house did provide some amusement. However, the high point of this short comes just a few minutes in, a nice multi-car stunt. Gets an upgrade in score for its age, but presents nothing special.

Buster Keaton's funhouse. Funny and creative concept executed marvelously. Feels, in some ways, like a warmup for the extended setpiece at the end of Steamboat Bill Jr. (in particular, the falling wall gag comes to mind).

This one was okay for the work put into that crazy house and the car scene where the happy couple is getting away from nosey onlookers is good. Overall, not one of Buster's most memorable films, IMHO.

Buster Keaton is god damn amazing. Great stunts and still funny to this day.

Buster Keaton and his new bride labor to build a house from a kit. There's not much of a narrative arc to speak of, but the premise allows for some pretty funny physical gags. And inventive ones, too, such as when the entire cockeyed structure is rotating around on a giant lazy susan. Keaton is endearing and charming as ever, and although we don't get to see Sybil Seely do that much, she certainly is a cutie-pie. The ending makes a terrific capper to this fun little short with plenty of laughs.

Buster Keaton movies always make me smile, they charm the hell out of me without fail. This one has all his good stuff - the romantic plot, the pratfalls, the dangerous & inventive stunts, hitting a cop (played by Charlie Chaplin) over the head with his own truncheon... what more could you want from a Keaton?

From what i've seen, this is best Buster's two-reel movie. Complicated and dangerous stunts, actual plot, pretty and funny actress. If you can see only one short film of Buster, choose this one.

an outstanding feat of special effects, especially considering the time, and exceptional work on buster's part in the areas of directing, stunts, and comedy. no doubt this movie, it's being silent aside, has stood the test of time.

A great short; very funny and technically innovative, with lots of gags that'll make you say "wow." It is also a nice little romance in which love overcomes all adversity.

Pretty funny and clever. The first stunt with the car was really impressive. It also could be viewed as the best or worst house ever depending on how you look at it. Woman in bath tub was a really nice bit but I think they may have failed to cover up the goods, someone confirm.

An amazing two-reeler. I'm pretty sure the Industry would have a fit if anyone attempted these stunts now.
