Considering how this movie turned out to be I dont believe there is any chance of a franchise. The movie is predictably shit, I havent read the novels so cant compare the movie to it. Guess the only way Katherine Heigl is going to make this franchise is if she produces and finances each one of the flops. Dont even bother watching this one.

This movie was fun. I thought Heigl was a very cute Jersey Girl and could also be a spit-fire butt kicker. My one complaint about this movie was some of the quiet scenes, they seemed a bit too long and made the action of the movie drag. I thought Lula was as funny as she is in the books and Heigl's two love interests were also great participants in this film. I certainly hope they make more of the books into movies but with the low reviews it has received I doubt we'll see that happen.

A boring film that is as compelling of a case for gynocide as Von Trier's Antichrist. Heigl lacks any charisma and the script is tedious and somewhat racist.

A long, long way from KNOCKED UP, Katherine Heigl attempts to start a franchise of her own: an adaptation of the Stephanie Plum novels. However good the novels may be, for the sake of the cinema, I hope no more films are made. Heigl's Plum is annoyingly incompetent, whiny, and unfunny, not helped by a wretched script: a boring, convoluted mystery packed with unlikable, sometimes offensive characters, like Jason O'Mara's obnoxious love interest. A really painful experience from start to finish.

This is okay. Heigl looks like she's having fun, and this is a relatively breezy distaff PG-13 Elmore Leonard riff. Lots of the characters behave really, really stupidly, though.

I've never read the books before. At times it feels like a neo-noir, and at others like a sitcom, but it works. It was pretty enjoyable. There were a few too many coincidences, and it seemed like everyone knew each other, even though they lived in a big city. I'm usually not a fan of Katherine Heigl, but she was decent in this. She had good chemistry with Jason O'Mara, it reminded of The Bounty Hunter (Jennifer Aniston & Gerard Butler). It was also pretty funny, I smiled quite a few times.
