Summary: A couple on the verge of a nasty divorce attempt to sell their empty love nest and move on with their lives, separately. After a successful open house they are horrified to discover, days later, that a potential buyer didn't leave their home. While Alice is being held captive in the basement, the unannounced house guest moves in upstairs. (imdb)
This is one of those completely pointless horror movies - no real plot, no anything. I can't even say something about the acting cause there seemed to be not much to act. Pretty much a waste of time. And in the beginning you actually wait for the rest of the True Blood cast to appear.
A pointless picture stuffed with home invasion horror cliches and freak family banality, Open House nonetheless makes surprisingly astute use of serial killer mythology and telling violence once it moves beyond the embarrassingly tacked-on cameos from True Blood stars Anna Paquin (the director's sister) and Stephen Moyer.
