Wayne at his typical gung-ho self. The film itself veers to the propagandist end of the spectrum, moreso than some of similar eras. It's certainly formulaic and the point at which Wayne dives off the submarine to save 'Pop' is clearly only there as a vehicle to have a JW moment. Of it's time but far from the best of its time.
