The acting and the cinematography could be better, but it's still a pretty decent action flick which doesn't take itself too seriously.

Something you don't see everyday - in the States at least - a Norwegian action thriller. Based around intrigue surrounding a Soviet spy station on Svalbard. Make sure you get the 2-disc version with the KLM parody - a post-film must-see.

A really surprisingly good film. A tightly structured, Hollywood-thriller classical narrative combined with a story which is fundamentally Norwegian not only aesthetically but thematically, with quite mature political undertones of a considerable weight. It's not a masterpiece, but it really is a good film. Americanization of the Norwegian movie industry be damned, I wish this is what all Norwegian films were like.
