Summary: Chandy (Mammootty), a good-at-heart roughneck, comes to the village of Maravathoor to help out his struggling farmer brother Michael (Biju Menon) with his crops. There, with his bluster & courage, he tames local bullies & finds a place in landlord Annie's (Divya Unni) heart. However, Palani Swamy Gounder (Nedumudi Venu), a disgruntled local bigwig who had an eye on Michael's land, spreads rumors about Chandy & Michael's wife Mary (Mohini), which sows seeds of doubt in Michael's & Annie's minds.
